Hand-made Landscapes

During lockdown in 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic I challenged myself to make a miniature oil refinery that I was to photograph in attempt to make the viewers think it was a real sized refinery at first glance. Using recycled materials such as plastic bottles, cardboard boxes, straws and LED lights as well as a smoke machine. I used real world refineries as references to make it as life like as possible. The challenge however, was shooting the model outside with the sky as the backdrop, because I was confined to my garden the model had to be lifted on a platform to avoid having trees and fences in the background, this would be the key to achieving the lifelike aesthetic.
